The Genie display shows code 204-21 with the message “Main Battery — Fault”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Battery will not charge
Possible causes
- Voltage detected but the charger is unable to charge the battery. Can be due to a electrical device connected between the charger & battery, which creates voltage but not current. Battery could not be trickle charged up to the minimum voltage
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
*Check for shorted or damaged cells *Replace battery pack *Check DC connections (This error will automatically clear once the charger is reset)
