The Genie display shows code 96-21 with the message “Engine Oil Pressure — Value too low”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Engine may not attempt to start until system power cycle. Engine may be turned off by control system immediately.
Possible causes
- The engine oil pressure is measured as too low, potentially damaging the engine.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
* Stop engine as soon as possible. * Verify the engine oil level. * Verify the engine oil pump. * Power on the machine and start the engine. At the ground controls display, view the engine oil pressure gauge for proper operation. * If engine uses an analog oil pressure sensor, verify it is sending an analog voltage on C25PSR (WH/BK, TCON J6- 9).
