The Genie display shows code 98-17 with the message “Platform Level Angle — Not calibrated”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Boom Up, Extend and/or Drive and Steer will not operate.
Possible causes
- Sensor has been replaced and requires calibration, or calibration in memory has been erased, or the machine detects two serial numbers for either the platform angle sensor or the boom angle sensor.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
