The Genie display shows code 233-21 with the message “Battery Temperature — Fault”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Charging Disabled
Possible causes
- Pb Batteries only: Battery temperature sensor is required by charge profile (battery temperature compensated algorithm) but it is not installed. Reported by Charger.
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.
Solution from the manual
*Confirm sensor is connected correctly. Power on Charger pin 5 (WH/RD) and B- on Charger pin 14. *Check if the charge profile installed does not require temperature compensation.
