The Genie display shows code 233-23 with the message “Battery Temperature — Too High”. It is a blocking fault or a safety-related code: do not use the machine until the cause has been found and removed.
Effect on the machine: Terminates Hybrid Charge Opens Battery Contactor if beyond warning level (if equipped)
Possible causes
- Battery Temperature (TCON Check) > 120 °F (49 °C) Lead Acid or AGM Battery > 140 °F (60 °C) Lithium Battery -or- Reported by the BMS: >50 °C= warning >60 °C = limit Amps >65 °C = fault
What you can do
Switch the machine off with the emergency stop and switch it on again. If the code comes back, do not use the machine and call service.

Repower with battery temperature issue corrected.
