Genie S-65: Boom will not raise or extend

Likely cause: Discharged battery, an active fault code, basket overload or a fault of the boom angle or length sensor. Diagnosis: Check the power supply, read the fault code and verify the load in the basket.

Genie S-65: Machine will not drive, or drives only at creep speed

Genie S-65 error codes: 21 codes explained

Genie uses the on-board GSDS diagnostic system (Genie SmartLink). Codes are divided into DTC (a detected device or circuit fault) and OIC (an unusual operating condition, e.g. overload). On scissor lifts, DTCs are marked with a letter for the system type and a number; on boom lifts (Z and S series) there is also a two-digit flash code (red LED = source, yellow LED = type).
